Faster IS better
It is so much easier to use a keyboard to write. My typing fingers can usually keep up with my thoughts. Plus, if I write something on paper it almost never makes it into the computer unless I scan it. I don't think editors or agents appreciate receiving handwritten stuff, either.

Maybe it has to do with not having real computer access to nearly two years ago but I do a lot of writing with a pen. When I get to the typing part that's when I tend to add or change things so I actually find doing it that way helpful.
